How to use the Localize workflow to translate content for other channels

Written by Alberto Barberis

The Localize action translates and adapts your product content for a specific channel and language — for example, from your English Shopify channel to your German Amazon channel.

The Localize side panel — all 3 steps visible: attribute selection, data handling, and destination channel.

  1. Select products in the Products list and click Localize in the bulk action bar. The Localize Products side panel opens.

  2. Step 1 — What Attributes to Localize: use the Select All Attributes master checkbox to select everything, or pick individual attributes (title, brand, description, description_short, variables, bullet_points, tags, faq, and more).

  3. Step 2 — Data Handling: choose how the AI handles existing content in the destination channel:

    • Skip fields that already have data (default, recommended) — only fills empty fields, preserving any translations you've already done.

    • Replace all data — regenerates all selected attributes, even if translations already exist. Use this to refresh all content from scratch.

  4. Step 3 — Choose destination Channel: select the target language channel.

  5. Click Translate products. The job appears in Overview. When complete, review and approve the translations before they go live.

Tip: for the best localization results, run Optimize on your source channel first to ensure the original content is high quality before translating. The AI uses your source content as the input — better source means better translations.
